How do I edit and crop?

Not sure exactly what you mean, but I'll try to answer your question.
If you have photoshop, or any other photo editing software, you can edit and crop them till the cows come home and do whatever you want to do to them. Then just save them as either jpeg or tiff when you are finished, upload to mpix, and place your order.
If you don't have any photo editing software, you can still upload to mpix. During the order process, you can crop them to whatever size you want. Just be aware that you could loose important pieces of the picture this way. Depending on the picture, you would just have to upload and see what happens. There is also an option to check or uncheck for color correction. If you check color correction, mpix will look at your pictures and try to color correct them for you. They don't do extensive editing, just basic color correction. If you have software and do this yourself, you may not want them to color correct if you have already done the corrections to your satisfaction. One thing to remember, calibrate your monitor. What you see and what mpix prints for you could be two completely different things if your monitor is way off.
Hope this helps
