WTG Amy!!!  I am SOOOO proud of you!!!!!!  I can't wait to hear how you feel in 11 days.  You will feel like a new woman!

I ran today.  I am not and never have been a runner. But I got on that treadmill for 30 minutes, and ran in 2 minute spurts throughout for a total of 8 running minutes.  That is HUGE for me.  And I felt like I could keep going, too!

Woohoo Amy! Great job on your first day!

Hubby and I went walking at lunch today. We probably walked a little over a mile. I can tell I am in better shape this year because used to be that about 10 minutes into it my calves were burning but today they never did! cool

nope, i am  not going to the gym. I got a sick kid, plus i don't like the gym.

BUT! i did hike around my hill, kicked and threw a ball for the dog, cleaned up trash, brought in the sleds, and trimmed up 1/4 of a mile of trail overgrowth, and cleaned up some of the flower beds... and i still have to vacuum, and fold and put away a ton of laundry...

so, i think that counts as a good workout.

Hell yeah! in my book.

I walk for 9 hours everyday for four straight days. Lost 20 I wanted to keep.

Good job everyone!  I went and did my weight routine but it sucked because I had a wardrobe malfunction.  My shirt kept riding up when I lifted my arms and my pants kept falling down, so I was....umm...showing a little too much.  I realized it and then tried to get a workout in without flashing everyone in the gym, which was difficult, to say the least.

Leaving for spin class in a bit.  I'll either have to change my shirt or tie a sweatshirt around my waist, lol.

I have a bad knee... only thing that does hurt is the eliptical.  Went to the gym this evening... 30 minutes on eliptical and 15 minutes weights (arms).  Came home and did ab ripper X.  Total of one hour work out.  Also drank my 8 servings of water today (that is more than I think I have drank in my entire life).

Just a bump!  I did not go to the gym yesterday, I walked 2 miles around Reliant Stadium because we came out the wrong door :P

Will be going tonight though.

Good job everyone!

I went for 45 minutes on Monday, 60 on Tuesday, took Wednesday off (not feeling well), and was back for 30 minutes today.  My doctor says at least 150 minutes a week, so if I can go tomorrow for at least 30 minutes, I will be 15 minutes over my goal!

I'm still on the treadmill and increasing my speed everyday!  I can't believe I'm walking a mile a day!  I have never done that in my life!

I feel great!

Today I went 3.5 mph - which is HUGE for me for 1/2 mile.  Then I went and got my hair cut and on a whim had all the gray colored out and got my eyebrows done!

I'm on an upswing I can feel it.  Finally I can participate in one of these threads!

Amy, that is AWESOME!!!  I walk at 3.0 MPH and then every three minutes, run at 4.6-4.8 for 2-3 minutes.  When I'm not running, I increase the incline a bit.  I've never been a runner but am working my way up, and it is such a great feeling!

You will be a totally new person a month from now.  Can't wait to hear how you are feeling then!

Total props to you, dude!  I admire you, I can't run for more than 3 minutes without being exhausted! :)

You all rock. I'm so proud of every one of you! I want to see this thread continue until it's like 27 pages of "what I did at the gym today" kind of stuff.

I didn't do anything yesterday because my Menieres has made a return and I've been having vertigo attacks again. Yesterday's was the worst it's been & I was wiped out. I did just get home from spin class tonight, though.

Keep it up everyone!

Ok, everyone, it is FRIDAY! Let's end the week with a bang!  Most of us won't workout over the weekend, so let's get one last one in before Monday hits!

How do we all feel after the week?  What have you accomplished?

-I have managed to get to the gym on my own, without my personal trainer to hold me accountable.

-I have started running, and found that I kind of enjoy it!

-My scale died, and I haven't rushed out to get batteries to weigh myself every day.  I am going to give myself two weeks before I weigh again, I am tired of relying on numbers.  I want to FEEL the weight loss again!

I was so close to not going today.  I finally slept last night without coughing for the first time in 9 days, so I slept until noon.  I was so nice just not to hack every five seconds that I didn't want to get out of bed on my day off.

But I did.

And I made myself pay for it. I went twice as fast (4mph) as I usuallly do on the treadmill.  Got my mile in anyway, just a little later in the day than normal.

I hula-hooped and did stepping as well as some strengthening... then I went out and worked in the front yard for about 2 hours!  My hip is not liking me at the moment but hopefully that will go away... just hoping it doesn't interfere with my shoot tomorrow...

Great job kara, and everyone else. I finished up day 7 of my program and am looking forward to tomorrows workout. Last week I was so sore I could barely move. I am hoping that it won't be that bad this week. I can already tell I have extra energy and am excited about working out again. I lost 7 pounds this past week and took 1.5% off my body fat. Figure after the next 3 weeks I will be back down to a weight I haven't been to in 5+ years. Keep it up everyone we can do this. I want to see a bunch of lean mean photogs at the next meet up I get to attend.
