How close were you??

I really like the last ones of both groups, I would think the firehouse would want a really big print of the last one!

Ann, I was pretty close. I was only using my 24-70 on a full frame. I have a few shots where I'm just on the other side of a window. Close enough to be hot enough to sweat. Im actually on the fire department as well (I was working my normal job so I couldn't participate in the burn to learn except to take photos), and I do our Facebook/blog stuff. Anytime I take photos they automatically get high res finished files. I think your right. It's time to blow a few of those babies UP!
