I just bought a knew computer and for some reason on photo-shop only my arrow sort of triples. For example if I'm using the move tool the arrow will become three hands or by the crop tool three crop symbols. This is making it extremely difficult to precisely edit my photographs. Anyone have an inkling what the problem can be?
Thanks so much in advance!

Sounds most likely like a graphics card problem. I don't remember off the top of my head what kind of graphics card performance options Photoshop offers - if any. I can check on my work computer tomorrow. But you might look at the options and see if there is anything about fast video performance you can turn off.
Do you by chance know what kind of graphics card you have?

For Photoshop to work correctly, it uses the processing power of the graphics card, provided it has processing power. So many new computers these days use on-board graphics cards and those share processor cycles and memory with the main computer. You really need a dedicated video card that Photoshop can access.

I found this answer on another site http://www.computerf...issue-help.html
The issue was actually solved just the other day--
Turns out that while the laptop was being used by a family member with bad eyes..he cranked the dpi for font size to LARGE 150dpi and it killed the cursor in CS4, adjusting it back to 120dpi or custom below 150, solved the problem right away.
Hope that helps!

Have you ever wondered if there was more to life, other than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?

From the movie "Zoolander" as in Derek Zoolander. Jennifer, my name is not Derek or Shirley, it's Sue not Susan, not Suelander, just Sue.
