What are you getting for Christmas?
OK, I know Santa isn't set to deliver presents for a few more days but some of you might have early scouting reports and knowledge of what he will be bringing. My wife, bless her heart, is giving photography related gifts. She bought me a small soft box for those times when the giant one is overkill and a radio flash trigger so our daughter and the dogs won't trip on the sync cord.

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
I got a camera for my birthday, so no camera stuff this Christmas. But my hubby does know how to do it right. All I know is it's jewelry and I don't know what kind. I'm excited. That man spoils me rotten and I love it. PattyG

A non-staticy, non-bleeping, radio for my car. I believe it has Sirius built in since I'm a bit hard on my one from last year and with every bump it loses it's antenna. He already took over my replacement satellite radio that I bought myself, so now I can have it inside in the kitchen, and on the computer.

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
I don't know for sure but when our son was visiting he read an e-mail to me that said your Alien Bee order has been shipped and my wife was so mad at him. Don't know what it is but it's something for our Bee's. I can't wait there is so much from their web-site that we could use. I'll just have to wait till Monday. Bret

Hubby and I aren't exchanging this year per se, as we remodeled our home in November and took a fun-filled trip to NYC for the Photo Expo! It's all about our little guy this year...3 1/2 is such a great age for Santa! :-) My inlaws are getting me this. Hubby is getting an Ipod from them. They are the best inlaws EVER! :-)

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
Beginner Bee package except with no carrying case and a Air Cushioned Heavy Duty stand. My mom went to order the softbox (medium).....out of stock so second choice was a background stand!!! My little wish is for a printer that will print directly on the cd. So that way our daughter when burning CD's will know what songs are on the disk and for me.....when I actually start getting some paying customers, I can put the photos on a disk with their information on the label!

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
We just moved into our new home on the 1st of the month. It is a huge old home (built in the 1820's) at the entrence to our local Country club. The course is to the right, left and behind our house and is just such a beautiful view, but as with all older homes it needs some TLC. We bought some new kitchen appliances and I have been painting, ripping up carpet, etc. So, we aren't really doing "gifts" per se...our gift was our home, and the ability to decorate it (which I just love doing) I am just soooo happy to be here!

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
We are having a wonderful Christmas this year. Since my daughter is getting married in June it will be the last year that we have all the children at home - and since her fiancee is going to be in the Army is is a good possiblity that she will be in Japan or Germany two years from now, so we are making the best of the time that we have. On Thursday, my husband bought me a new car. A Chevy Malibu Maxx! All the passenger seats fold flat and I can fit a whole studio in there if I need to cart stuff around. We can also drive it to New York in May should we decide to go to West Point's Graduation. (future SIL) Friday, the kids opened their first gift..... Powerizers! These are a blast, so if you have BIG kids, I'd really recomend them. They get on these things and get that little kids Christmas excitement all over again. I'll post a picture of one of my boys to show you what they are. It's so cool watching the boys hop around like kangaroos. My 16 yr. old has been walking the dog in his and he's getting really good. The picture is of my 19 yr. old.... and the kitchen towels on his knees are needed because he's SKINNY - 5'10" and 110 lbs when soaking wet and fully dressed... but he's very atheletic. (U.S. Championship Inline Hockey Player and 4th in the World when he played for the Mad Hatters out of Denton, Texas - and yes, we drove the three hours back and forth to practice and games) The future SIL hasn't mastered the powerizers and my 22 yr. old is waiting until after all of his Christmas parties "just in case" something happens. He's a magician and does a lot of corporate parties this time of year. Now - what's under the tree...... who knows? And Santa is coming! We have all the stockings hung and we're waiting.... and waiting..... and waiting.... man.... I can hardly wait!

Re: What are you getting for Christmas?
I thought I'd post a picture of our Christmas Stocking, too. We have more kids this year. My future SIL and my 19 yr. old son's girlfriend of two years will be spending Christmas with us and we'll all get up early and open presents together and then have a big Christmas breakfast before heading to Grandma's to open presents again. I always wanted 6 kids and only had 4, so I'm re | | |
