    My new pakaging

I just wanted to share my new pakaging and to let you know of a good place to order this kind of stuff from.

I found this company on another forum and I am glad I did!  The boxes are deep enough for my wallet boxes to fit in, and I love the patterns they have to choose from.  http://www.nashvillewraps.com/  They have the tissue paper, ribbon, tulle, boxes and bags in coordinating colors.  I was using black boxes with black tissue paper and printing a label for the front and tying it all up with pink tulle. But with over 75 orders in December my stock was depleted!  I am getting a new studio and a new website and so I wanted to start the new year off with new pakaging as well.  The polka dots and stripes will be used on my website too.

    Do you like??

Oh, and their prices are nice!  I got enough stuff to pakage over 100 orders and enough tulle to make two tutus and it was 125.00.

their stuff is great, and I agree the prices aren't bad at all.  Did you see the little Chinese take out containers? How cute are those! I like the polka dots you chose.

Having faster lenses or fancy camera bodies doesn't make you a better photographer. It just means your crappy images will now be sharper and shot in lower light.

Wendi, I was just reusing the mpix glassine bags for my pakaging and then I decided to set myself apart from the chain studios that just use an envelope, so I went with boxes.  I got A LOT of positive feedback on the boxes!  I tie them with a tulle ribbon and so they look like presents!  People love to get presents!

(I put the bill in the bottom of the box!)

I want to stand out, too.  Great idea!

What sizes of boxes do you get, for what prints?

The two sizes I ordered from NW will fit an 8x10/8x12 and the larger one will fit an 11x14.  I still have to buy plain black for my 16x20's, that is why I went with the black and pink polka dot paper for those.  Also, if they just have 4x6's, like for wedding proofs, they will go in a small white box.

    Marti,

I love that packaging!  You always pick the neatest stuff.  I love your style.  I have just been using black boxes.  Mine also are low so it is time to reorder.  I had no were near 75 but hopefully one of these days.  My actual anniversary date, my first real customer was April of last year so I think I am doing good for almost 1 yr under my belt.  I am so proud of you.  You are doing so well!!! Yes  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Shawna!  I can't wait to use the revamped studio!  I'll take a pic of it maybe, tomorrow and post it.  It looks so much better than it did before!  I jsut counted and I had 35 appointments in December (and I stopped taking pics the week before christmas!) about that many in November, but the reason I had so many orders was I had a few Seniors that I took in October and they waited until the last minute to order!  Crazy!  Next year, well, this year Stick out tongue I am going to offer a special on Christmas cards to anyone with a session in October!  Maybe that will help!

    Thanks for the kind words!

    Re: My new pakaging

it seems that they only have a limited selection in colors/styles for the boxes right now.  is that normal?  i found some tissue paper that i would like to use but can't find any boxes in a single color.  also where did you find your tags?

you are very creative with your packaging technique.  i love to see photographers using their creativity in other areas of life.  it says a lot about a photographer who looks at every aspect of creativity.  congrats on all your success.

    Marti,

That's where I order my stuff.  I ordered the boxes and had stickers made with my logo on them then I tie a pink bow around the box.  The way you deliver your prints makes a big difference.  Your clients should be very pleased!!!!!!

Photoangel, the tags are under Gift cards, do a search and they will be about half way down the page.  They are .72 for a pack of 6.

Marti, I don't need any packaging, but those are great.  In case you didn't, be sure to tag this one for future searchers.  I really like those.
