    How to question....

    Hi,

I am wanting to do a dramatic lighting set up for my glamour event. I did some practice sessions tonight and was okay with the results. BUT, I'd like to make the background darker and have more of a spot light effect on the subject. I used a 20* honeycomb, a strip soft box and a fill. Any help?

I''ll post one shot from my practice session when I hear back from my model. I want to be sure she is okay with me using it.

    Thanks for your help!

make sure that there is less light falling on the background. either block the light from reaching it, move the subject farther from it, keeping the same exposure.

I know of one photography who uses a massive 4'x8' black cutter panel just out of the frame of the shot to cut down the light. You may lose to much and have to add some with a background light though, depending on ehat you are going for.

    Good luck.
