I've been asked to find a good location by my bridal client for their engagement pictures. I've lived here (Salem) area for three years but I'm drawing a blank. It seems they don't have any places that bring strong memories for them or they want to see how creative I'll be. I'm thinking of an Arboretum which I think would work nice. (They don't like the cold (and they live in New England??) so that came to mind first. I was also trying not to include places that are going to want more than the cost of the session $125.00.

If anyone is either from this area or has heard of something that worked nice I'd be interested in hearing about it.

     I would ask where they first met, or first kissed. The last wedding I did they first kissed in an aircraft museum.....guess where I photographed them.....sometimes you try too hard to make an impression and the simplest answer is usually the best.

  If your couple is from Salem, there is the House of the Seven Gables......or a waterfront shoot at sunset....something like that. I live near the beach here in Savannah and just mentioning the beach gets a positive response....

Thanks, that was my first question to them. Where did they meet, their first kiss, where he proposed (she said nothing romatic or conducive to pictures)... These two have me worried... Usually the guy is pretty romantic (at first) enough to pick a good spot for these things... Now the bride gives me homework to find a nice loacation for their engagment photos... Well I'm burning up google finding all sorts of spots and I've got a few emails out to friends who know the area (grew up here) so we'll see what happens. I wish Salem was their home base but they are out in leomister or something like that...

So we''ll see if any one has places they like...
