    Tip for RAW shooters...

This has been all over the internet (maybe even these forums), but I thought that it may help out some of you guys drowning in files after each wedding.  Well worth a watch if you're not adept at ACR.

I'm downloading it now and will look at it in a while. Have you tried incorporating Lightroom in your workflow yet? It's still in beta but I'm learning to see it has it's benefits. It's all in the workflow....

Here is a link to a web gallery that I built in LR. http://www.vistaphotos.net/photo_gallery/Brandy_D/Brandy/index.html These are almost all Raw files. The last 7 pictures in the gallery are jpegs but the other 40+ came straight from Raw files.

I'm not sure if I ready to give up working only in bridge and PS and include LR into the mix. but it definatley has some great features. I'd like to hear how others are trying out LR and using it in their workflow.

Clarification on last... No ACR used The gallery was corrected as needed, wholly in LR and put up online in a gallery created in LR. It never saw bridge or PS and the original raw files haven't been modified at all. I have made level and curve changes along with  vigenetting and saturation changes all on the raw file version that was imported into LR and the changes have only been modified there.

For those wanting to simplfy their workflow that isn't too bad. What needs work is if you have cloning or other PS needed functions then you have to export it out and bring it into PS work on it and then bring it back into LR. Also printing needs work but it's coming along..

Thanks Jeff, I'll have to take a look...  I'm always a little slow to pick up the new stuff - I'm still debating whether or not it's worth downloading CS3.  Sounds like it's worth a look at LR though.

Quick plug....CS3 is worth it, big time!! It starts in 5 seconds on my machine, compared to the minute long load time of PS7, PSCS2. The black and white option is worth it to me, plus the added features.

Another plug here for Lightroom and CS3.

Lightroom is a fantastic app. and in spite of it's sluggish behavior (on my G5) I can still edit big jobs much faster than with the ACR/Bridge combo.

As far as CS3... it seems to run quite a bit faster than CS2 which is the opposite of what I expected.  Usually, new Photoshop versions have so many new goodies and functionality packed into it that each new version is noticeably slower the the previous.

I have tried several times to get this to play and nothing. Windows Media player is what I was using.

    Re: Tip for RAW shooters...

I had CS3 (windows version) but I don't recommend it for a production environment. I love the new bridge (It rocks). In the end I uninstalled CS3 as I was too frustrated to deal with it. I tried to keep bridge but it wouldn't let me do that. When I did uninstall it, it ruined my CS2 links to the rest of creative suite. I don't know if you have CS2 only if it would do the same thing but there appears to be too many shared files between CS2/3..
