They don't even know if they are edited. To Mpix, a jpg is a jpg. Now if you want them to color balance, that is free - but it may not turn out the way you want if you have a white balance that is off on purpose for some reason. If you trust your monitor to be accurate, then check the box that tells Mpix NOT to color correct. But if you aren't sure, then have them color correct.
If your picture is not the right size, then it will prompt you to crop it then and there, but if you want more control you can crop it in your image editing program ahead of time.
There are two ways to upload now as well. There is the standard ordering, which worked for me last time but gave me some headaches, and there is tne new ROES method which I have not tried, http://www.mpix.com/MpixRoes.aspx
I will try ROES next time to see if it works better for me. It sounds like it might be a way to go if you are doing a large project like a wedding.
