    Paint Shop Pro Collage Help

Hello Everyone...was wondering if anybody is using Paint Shop Pro XI and can give me some instructions on how you build your collages. I have been playing with it a bit but I think I'm making it harder than it is. Plus, I want to add fun borders, text etc... I LOVE the collages on this forum and I know most of them have been done with Photoshop but right now I'm starting out with Paint Shop Pro and hope to someday join the Photoshop group in the future.

    Thanks in advance,

HI Lisa--I'm a PSP XI user and I love it.  Other than actions, I can do about anything with it that can be done with PS.

Here is how I make a basic collage.  I open a sheet, the size and res. I want to print.  You can fill your background color, etc.  Then I open my pics, one at a time, and do whatever I want to those--crop, edit, borders, etc.  When I'm done, I right click--copy--then "paste as new layer" on my collage.  Then I do the next pic.  Same thing, and "paste as new layer".  You can move the pics around, so I just let them sit until I have all my pics there, and then I start dragging the corners of the pics til I get them the size I want.  Move them where you want them, add text, and save.  If i'm completely DONE and won't be editing, I'll "merge all layers" and save as a jpeg.  Otherwise, I'll just save as a PSP file.

I know that's a quick version--if you need more help, let me know.

With all due respect, I bet that the Wacom tablet came with Photoshop Elements, which is a more basic version of Photoshop, and not the Photoshop CS2 that people are referring to when they say "Photoshop."

Paint Shop Pro versions 9-11 can easily do 95% of what Photoshop CS2 can do, at a small fraction of the price.  Paint Shop Pro is probably able to do MORE than Photoshop Elements.
