    Tabloid size (11"x17") scanner

Does anyone have a tabloid size scanner they are happy with?  I need to get a large format scanner and there doesn't seem to be much information on the web about them.  I keep coming across the Epson GT 15000 and 10000 and a few Microtek models but that's it.  I would appreciate any input you guys might have.  Thanks!

Help!  Does anyone have any experience with these?  My public information office is in need of one and I could really use some input from people who have used them.  I know it's not exactly phography but it is closely related so I had hoped to get at least a little advice.  Thanks.

You are right there are very few out there, and you have hit the right ones. It all depends on what you are using the scanner for. If just B&W docs, of of the Epson models I think is a pretty cheap one consdering. It wight work for just documents. Just a warning O have not heard good things about it. If doing like photo repro, you will have to get one of the $2000 models.

I am in the same boat for an 11x17 printer. Only a few models and we're in the $6,000-$8,000 bracket for all of them.

Depending on what you are doing, you might condsider a regular scanner and stitching software, but the results are never good.

Thanks for the info.  I was afraid that's what I would hear.  We need to be able to scan text, graphics and photos for publication hence the size.  I appreciate the input on the epson...I haven't heard good things about it either.  I also just got word that we need the printer as well.  Have you found a model that looks promising?
