    Promotion ideas

Our little town is having a downtown event on the 4th of July so I will have a booth to promote my business Cool. I will have a couple framed pictures displayed, a portfolio book for them to look through, business cards, and will hand out postcards that get them free prints. Any other ideas about what I could hand out or should have on display?

If you don't have electricity, you could always use a laptop.  Depending on your lighting situation.

I would get a couple of pieces of foamcore and make a couple of huge posters of your pictures to attach to it.  They should be big enough for people to see from far away.

I just did a downtown event for my daughters' performing arts center and I made about 150 4x6 prints with info on them to give to people.  I just made a stamp in PS that had all the studio info on it, then just stamped every picture.  I printed pictures of some of the ballerinas, princesses and musicals that I've done and handed them out to little girls and boys (and parents) to advertise dance classes.  The little girls (and some little boys!) loved them!

    Good idea, monica ...

I was thinking about getting Bob Barker to come and let people putt a golf ball in a hole for a new car.

Should I stick to portraiture for the large prints or also do some of my landscape/nature type shots?
