Okay everyone....here is the info for the 1st ever MPix Cruise!

Set Sail: Monday, January 25, 2010

5 night cruise

 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Miami, FL - Cruise leaves at 4:00 pm

Day 2: Day at Sea

Day 3: Grand Turk (Turks/Caicos)                       Arrive: 7:00am     Depart: 2:30pm

Day 4: Half Moon Cay (Carnival's private island)    Arrive: 9:30am     Depart: 6:00pm 

Day 5: Nassau, Bahamas                                   Arrive: 7:00am     Depart: 5:00pm

Day 6: Miami, FL - Cruise docks at 8:00am

 

There will be 3 levels of rooms available, so you can choose one based on your preference and budget!

Interior Room: $391.04 per person (Double Occupancy)  or   $261.04 per person (Triple or Quad Occupancy)

Oceanview Room:  $486.04 per person (Double Occupancy)   or   $281.04 per person (Triple or Quad Occupancy)

Balcony Room: $586.04 per person (Double Occupancy)  or   $301.04 per person (Triple or Quad Occupancy) 

 

We will be doing come teaching, some shooting and a lot of partying!!!

So how do you get in on this AMAZING trip!?!?

To hold your spot...all it takes is $25 per person!!! Due no later than April 25th!! (The balance for the cruise isn't due until November 2009!!)

We set up a new Paypal account to collect the deposits for this trip. If you are just sending the money from your Paypal account to ours, the rate is $25 per person you are reserving a spot for. If you are paying with a credit card through Paypal, the rate is $26 per person you are reserving a spot for so that it covers the fee that Paypal charges us for credit cards.

When you send your deposit, please let me know the following information in the notes:

How many rooms you will need

What room type you prefer

How many people you are reserving space for (X Adults and X Children-with their ages at time of sailing please)

If you prefer 1st seating (around 6pm) for dinner or 2nd seating (around 8pm)

Your contact information (Full Names, Address, Phone, E-mail) so that I can add you to the list!

Got some questions for you. 

Is this enough time for people to make a decision?  This is almost 2 years away.  Not sure that 25 days is enough time for everyone to decide.

Does the $25 apply to the total on the cruise cost or is this a separate fee?  The way I read it is that it is part of the cruise fee...just want to make sure.  Is this money refundable if someone can't make it later?

Is the cruise line requiring a set number of rooms to be booked?  If so, how many and will the cost go up if that number isn't met?

Does this price exclude air fare to Miami?

The $25 deposit ensures that we will get the rooms at that price. Basically, if you put a deposit in and you aren't able to go for some reason, you will just need to sell off your room to someone else on the board. I think that we will still be able to get rooms later, but probably not at this same rate. I am sure that ANYONE on here would tell anyone considering going....JUST GO! We are going to have a blast and it is great to get things on the calendar early. (Especially with a lot of us booking weddings 1 year plus out!)

I will have to check with the travel agent, but I think that it applies to the cost. I will find that out for sure tomorrow. I don't think that the deposit is refundable, so make sure that you definitely want to go if you put a deposit down on a room.

There is no minimum number of rooms to book, but I think that if you don't reserve a room with the deposit in the next month, the costs may change. I will double check all of this with the travel agent tomorrow too.

This price is for the cruise, taxes, port charges and fuel surcharge. Airfare and excursions would be separate. Included in the cruise rate are the rooms and the meals onboard.

All great questions Patty. As this is the first cruise I have planned for a group, there are definitely more things to be ironed out and I will check these out with the travel agent tomorrow.

If you do put a deposit in and you later determine that you can't go, I am sure that there will be people that aren't even on the board yet that may be on by then that would be willing to take your place!

Ok - any singles want to bunk with me & Jess in a balcony room?  I'm not going on a cruise and NOT getting a balcony, but we'd save almost $200 per person if one more person stayed in our room.

I would love to come and that is so cheap! I have to talk to hubby. We are hoping to be able to go to Africa in the summer of 2009 so we may not be able to swing it. But I hope we can do both that would be awesome! Not likely though Africa is expensive!

We are planning a trip to Brazil in December 2008, but since the cruise is a year after that, we should be fine.

I just spoke with DH and his response was "hell yeah" so we will be going.

Steph,  can you check on ajoining rooms or side by side rooms?  If my dh wants to go and take the kids, we would probably get them their own room, but they would need to be near us/beside us.

Lauren will be 16½ by then....I can't imagine!

Lauren will be shooting and learning!  But olivia is the resident baby sitter!  She is wonderful with kids and loves to babysit.  She will be 15½!

I know that cruise's have lots of kids activities, too.  Are you bringing your rugrats?  ;)

At this point we are planning on it. I am going to get a room for them and probably bring a babysitter with us. (Who....I don't know...but someone that I know will keep an eye on them both! They will be 6 1/2 and just over 3! OMG!!!!)
