I am new to photography and would like to learn as much as I can about studio lighting before investing in it. Can anyone please give me suggestions on books that may help me learn the basics of studio lighting and then also books that will help me expand on the basics. Thank you in advance for your help.
There are many books out there. Hope some one will point out a good one for you.
Here is a web page that can help you with basics lighting ideas. www.photoflexlightingschool.com

+1 really good
Scott Kelby's blog had some advice on studio lighting last month. He also has some good advice in his books about Digital Photography.
I'll 3rd the LS&M. I love Moment it Clicks, but I'm not sure about the studio lighint info in there.
Thanks everybody for the suggestions!
