     Adrion,

I know very little about units and such in the military. When you say you were in Iraq with an A-10 unit, does that mean the A-10 airplane? That is such a cool plane! If I was given the choice to ride in any military airplane I think I would choose the A-10. The SR-71 would be cool too. Those two are about equal to me.

Quite the disparity between those 2 planes...!!

Yes, the A-10 Warthog.  I love it - it's low, slow and ugly but it's an awesome plane!  It's pretty picky when it comes to weather parameters too so it keeps things interesting for me as a forecaster.

I am the music teacher at a very small K-12 school in southern Wyoming.  I LOVE it!  Our school has 135 kids in it from grades kindergarten-12th grade.  I am also the mom to the coolest little 1 1/2 year old boy in the whole world, and we spend a lot of time at my husband's activities- he's a high school science teacher and also coaches high school football and high school basketball.

Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the poeple who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

A few months ago while walking from a restraunt to our car I saw 2 A-10's that had just taken off. It was the highlight of my day but my wife really didn't understand. She just thought I ws crazy.

If you like the A-10 that much, go look at my gallery. (click on the left banner below... more to come!)

You are so lucky to live that close! I am green with envy! Great photos too. That is a great shot of the A-10. You can even see the pilot. I also loved the lightning and the girl holding the setting sun in her hand. You do great work, keep it up!

Day job that pays: Photographer. Have been full time in photography for the last 5 years. Before that I worked for a lawn care company doing payroll and billing for 5 major territories. (YAWN!....Think glorified monkey doing data entry all day!)

Shan has been full time in photography with me for the last 4 years after an unexpected release from his job. Before that, he was an inside sales rep for a tire distributor. He sold tires to car dealerships all around the country. Funny enough...his old company just hired us to do the photography for their awards banquet. Great way to make a grand on a Thursday night!

Jobs that don't pay cash: I keep my kids alive each day. They get fed and sometimes dressed. I keep my husband from hatching more crazy ideas. I also encourage some of his crazy ideas. LOL I plan Mpix conferences in exotic locations like Mentor, OH. (Oh...and the Caribbean, but that IS actually exotic). Ocassionally I do some laundry or dishes...but that can usually wait until someone is naked or has nothing to eat with! LOL

All in all...I love being in business for myself. I love the freedom that it allows me. What I don't love is the ebb and flow of the finances and the way it seems to take over my whole life. We are trying to put a stop to that this year! Outsourcing a lot of work so that we can spend more time with our kids and each other! There is nothing worse than sitting 2 feet apart, working on separate laptops and feeling like you never see each other. That has to end!

    Re: What's your day job?

I am self employed. I own Campbell Signs & Graphics. I have been doing this working at various sign shops for the past 24 years. I had always done jobs on the side, which led to me starting it full time on my own. I am just starting with photography jobs, so we will see how that goes.

My Hubs owns G&H Logging. He hauls logs from the woods to the saw mills. Mostly for the Amish. Being that this is the type of business that is dependant on the best working weather conditions. He doesn't work, when they don't work type of situation. He invented, yes my Hubs is an inventor, a tracked log forwarder that replaces log skidders, that can't get into the woods when conditions are extremely wet. This machine can work 24/7 in any condition with very low ground pressure that won't damage the roots of trees and plantlife. Thus, our new business is called EnviroMax LLC. I am an equal partner with my Hubs. We will be debuting this machine at the Richmond, VA logging show, May 15-18. We are very excited. We built 5 proto types last year from used parts, and sold them all. They are working everyday in the woods. Three were bought by the Amish. We will now be targeting high level industries with hopes of drawing interest from overseas markets where they can't harvest trees because of rocky turrain. Anyway, I am also the marketing manager preparing brochures, and materials for trade shows and mailings for the EnviroMax business.

I am a Mother to two boys, one living in Columbus, OH, one graduating from film school located in Orlando, in June. I have Two Step Children, one Daughter, in DC area with one 1 1/2 year old Grandaughter, and a Son in Ft Hood, TX just returning from Iraq for the second time, with one Grandson that is 3.

I also have two dogs, two cats, and two Belgian Draft horses, I take care of.

My Hubs and I play in a Senior Drum and Bugle Corps on weekends starting now through Labor Day. I am the first and only female on the board of directors for them.

    Whew!

Sorry for the long post, but we are busy people.
