Does Mpix still offer ICC profiles?

I got a print back that was much too dark, and when I emailed Mpix about it, customer support told me they didn't have profiles available at this time but offered to send me a monitor calibration kit.  I got that, but since I calibrate with an EyeOne, I don't really want to muck around with a different calibration.

Come to think of it, I had said I was using Lightroom, and the response was "no profiles for Lightroom", so maybe they *do* offer profiles and I just asked wrong?

So the big question now is, do they offer profiles, and if so, how do I get them?

    Rob,

We do offer ICC profiles. If you can email me (matt@mpix.com), I will have these sent to you. The profiles do only work in Photoshop, though.

Rob -- I had a similar issue when I first starting using Mpix a couple of years ago. I use the LaCie BlueEye Pro to calibrate my LaCie monitor. I found my Mpix prints were consistently darker than I expected from how they appeared on my monitor. After receiving the Mpix calibration kit, I found that if I simply adjusted my contrast and brightness (after calibration), I could closely match the Mpix target print in their calibration kit. That cured my problem. Now, I simply make these post-calibration adjustments to contrast and brightness and my prints match very closely in both color and brightness to what I see on my monitor.

    Cheers,
    -Mike.
