WOO-HOO!  Thanks, Moose!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And you know what the most awesome part about this is????????  I had my ISO turned up real high for a pic over the weekend (don't know why the first pic came out just right exposure wise?).  So, when I went into Shutter Priority, the first pic was totally white.  I checked exposure compensation (had it to +5.0 for some stupid reason, so I backed it down to zero).  Took another pic, still white. Hmmmm, oh, check the ISO, it was up to Ho.3.  Backed it down.  Voila! It worked.  I know you can't see it, but just picture me doin' my happy dance.  I figured out what I was doing wrong!!!  I haven't been able to do this before.  YOU GUYS ROCK!  deb

Hey Deb !  ...I want you to re-read what you just typed here...and listen to yourself.

Talk about this years award for most improved... You rock.

Why it was only yesterday she was trying to fold a 5/1 reflector....now she is rocking iso, exposure compensations, ....

Sniff... I am so damn proud of you girly.

Awesome everyone.. I just went through the whole post, and it looks like everyone nailed this puppy !

As will all things, somethings will be easy, and some will stump you...the trick is to keep trying, keep moving forward.

I'd like to take this Opp to thank Moose for taking the lead on this one, and giving us all some great pointers. I know I have printed out his summary for my handy dandy notebook.

I've thrown a little curveball on #3, as I think it is important.. It is now up. So dig into the the next one as soon as you are ready..

I'll try not to bail in the middle of this one again hahaha

Great Job gang ! u rock.

I did reread what I posted and I'm just a grinnin'! You don't know how much I appreciate the comments, Ken.  Honestly, this is awesome.  I've had people try to tell me things, teach me, etc., and to be honest I don't know what the difference is here, but it is sinking in!    I see several of us on here are sooo eager to learn, and this is just wonderful.

You really made me smile about the reflector!! LOL!  One of my defining moments.  Hahaha!!

    Love my MPIX family!!!!

You have my permission to play. Debi

I think it's your subject.  It's always looked to me that the water seems to come out smoothly like that automaticaly.  Try stop and blur something like a waterfall, or in a pinch, a shower head, and I thing you will see the difference.

Now Hang on JUST ONE MINUTE NEO...

Is that a Beer tap I see in the background in your house????

Suddenly you have elevated yourself to top of the class ! haha

Yes I think in your case.. the single stream of water may look the same no matter how you shoot it... So I dont think it was you ! (which is good to hear isnt it?)

Try something like a shower head, or running stream if you can, and use the same technique, you'll get it i'm sure.

Catching up on summer school homework...lol.

I tried to catch a bird but they would not cooporate with me, so I tried to bribe my son, but he wouldn't help either  so I bribed one of  his friend...(mental image = me telling someone elses child to flap his arms....faster...faster! LMAO) I tried bribing the birds to come out of the trees for food and water....which is where I created my waterfall.....from the bird fountain.

If i could only capture the beauty like I see it through my own eyes.....

A jack of many trades and a master at none!
