At this point,  I am just wondering.

Would you be interested in a  photography tour around Downtown Chicago?

I figure one day WALKING ( or Taxi)  of architecture, historical sites, Sky scrapers,   scenic beaches and  parks,  ending with  night life shots or   skyline  photography.

 time/date   not an issue yet..

Just to get an idea if anyone would be interested.

I'd totally be interested but this is something I cant do till next year.  

Have fun if you get it together. 

The more I think about it,  to have it next year in spring would be better. Unless we have another 9 month winter like this year....    Just kicking around ideas.

I'll be in Chicago in late October on business.  I'd love to go kick around downtown with our cameras.  I've done that river architectural tour before and that was interesting, but I'd like a little more time to do what I want/when I want.  Even if you don't get a big group, I'll be in touch as the date nears.  So far, I've met up with DGrits and his wife when I was in Valdosta visiting my in-laws and Suitefiore when I was in New Orleans last week and had a blast getting out and shooting with all of them, so I'm loving getting my own personal "mini-Mpix meetups" going.

I LOVE Chicago and would love to do this, but it would have to be in the fall or next year.

depending on when it is set we would be willing to make the 13 hr drive.  We came to Chicago last year and LOVED it and have been looking for an excuse to go back.

Oh, good!  I started to feel like a real thread killer for awhile!    I'll definitely let you know as October gets closer exactly what the plans are.  I'll have well broken in shoes for sure (and not those spikey shoes I had on ebay either)......they will have trekked all over Paris & Venice the month before.

I still have a meeting scheduled in Chicago in late October, so barring that being cancelled, I'm planning to fly to Chicago on Friday and drive over to get my nephew and then, hopefully, join you guys in progress.  We can talk as it gets closer.  My meeting is actually on Tues & Wed, so I would normally have been coming up on Monday.    

I will be in Chicago this weekend!  Taking the train this time from Lansing. Cant wait!

I was staying at the 4 points. on N. Rush. I was there from Friday-Sunday. We will be going back again this year - sometime.

Ummm...YES!  I'm interested!  Chicago is fairly close (3 hours).  We drove through going to Indiana a few weekends ago.  I thought about you Patrick... How lucky you are to have such textures and architecture :)  We, for some silly reason, took Lake Shore Dr through on a Friday about 5 or 6 pm.  I know, stupid, but I really saw a lot of cool things. 

i would be interested in getting together with a few others here downtown.Feel free to drop me a pm or an email! I am in the far north suburbs, and as much as I have photographed the city, there is still so much more I would like to cover.

we have a beautiful theater district

Navy Pier, Wrigleyville,beautiful lakefront and tons more ! We also have an amzing botanical gardens about 30 min north of the city, a wonderful zoo, etc. A weekend could easily be spent here.
