We just found out that my daughter is having a girl and we are so excited. I have my passport and my airline tickets and I am ready to go. I will fly out on Thanksgiving morning (airfare was $300 cheaper that day) and I'll return to the states on Jan. 8th. The baby is Due December 8th - but with the Christmas season in full swing we'll have shopping and decorating to do until the baby decides to join us.

And her name is Grace Elizabeth. Her initials will be GEM - isn't that precious.

I plan to go shopping for something PINK today - but I have to wait until the stores open.

Where is your daughter at?

She's in Okinawa, Japan.

They've been done since March and will be there for a total of three years. But - she is planning to come and visit next month and again in April after the baby gets her passport and things all in order. And I plan to go there a couple of times a year.

Granddaughters ROCK!  You'll have so much fun spoiling her!  Having a 2-month old granddaughter myself, I can tell you it's been great.  Enjoy.....

Aww, congrats!  One of the ladies I work with, her son is in the Air Force in Okinawa.  Her grandson is 3 now.  That's tough to be so far away.  Mine is far away too (not that far).  Well actually, my grandson is in OK City! LOL! 

You will have sooooo much fun spoiling her!!!!!

Congratulations Patty!  A baby girl, how sweeeeet!  Congrats to mommy and daddy, too!  The day we found out Holly was having a girl, I couldn't wait until the next morning.  After 3 grandsons I just had to get to the store and buy something PINK, anything PINK, so 24hr WallyWorld got my business.  I bought some PINK bibs. LOL  My husband picked at us the whole time saying not to get crazy, it could be a boy and you'll have to take all that stuff back.  I thought shopping for a girl would be sooo easy, for the boys you didn't have enough choices, for girls you have tooooo many or go broke. LOL

I had to go buy something PINK, also. I think I've gotten 7 outfits, so far. But - I still want some of those beautiful little Feltman Brothers dresses like Heather wore when she was a baby and I haven't been able to find them.... maybe next time!
