    Studio lighting

I generally only shoot on location.  However, this Christmas season I have struck a deal with a NFP to let me set up a temp studio in a vacant part of their building.  It is a really great, old building.  My problem is that the lighting in the rooms I am using is not very good - ceiling fans with the 3 light kits on them.  Any suggestions on how to light up the rooms economically?

check out ebay for some economical strobes. Stay away from hotlights, as they are a big waste of money. you can do a pretty fair job with one strobe and a good reflector.

I have a strobe, softbox, umbella, and a couple of vivitar flashes.  What I am looking for is the best light to light up the room.  The walls are wood and are stained very dark.  I would like it to be brighter for a more inviting "feel".  Sorry, I guess I wasn't very clear in my original post.
