Not a bad capture but it looks like your focus is on the bleachers in the background. I took a look at your picture and see that you shot this at f/10 with an ISO of 800. By shooting at such a high aperture you give yourself a greater dof (depth of field), which will give you a more focused background. When shooting action you want to isolate your subject from the background so the focus is on the player / action and not the background. Also by using such a wide aperture you have to use a higher ISO to keep the speed up. Try shooting at your lene's widest aperture.
