Frankenstein photo *added photos of steps...

This was a crazy session.  Last Christmas was my first great session with the two older ones.  The boy did fabulously and I thought that he had finally outgrown his naughty ways of his earlier years.  This year, we added a baby into the mix and he decided not to listen to his mom or me the whole session.  He totally has middle child syndrome......

So I got a few of them all three together, but they looked like crap, with no one looking.  I did get a few of the girl and the baby, so I decided to try to add in the boy and see what I could do.  Their mom is my dh's second cousin and they also attend our church, so I went out of my way for her....

This shot has parts from 4 pictures......

#1The baby and the girl is the main picture.  #2I added in the best headshot of the boy.  #3He needed a body, cuz the other shot was a head shot.  So I found a body that worked and used it.  and lastly #4, the baby was just staring in the other pic, so I found a face that was a little more pleasant (he is not a smily baby) and just replaced the face portion.  Yes, his head is actually that big, I didn't touch it.

    How does it look?

Will a mom like it?  It will be for their card this year.

    Marti

I think it looks great. I wouldn't know you'd done anything to it if you hadn't told me.

Thanks Debi,  I hope she gets a big one, but her usual is an 8x10....that seems so small to me now!

If she goes bigger I will flip!  heehee!

You couldn't have gotten a better photo if you tried!  hehe  This one is GREAT and totally a keeper Marti.  I just don't know how you do it!  All your work is wonderful and the mom will definately pick it.  When she flips over it tell her it would look even better as a 16x20 for her wall!  Let us know what she thinks!

Yeah, she knows that he was terrible.  She took him in the other room for a 'talk' a few times!  he kept fake smiling and closing his eyes on purpose.  I for sure will include a few of those!

Do you remember Calvin from the comics?  He would sit still and smile until the photographer would click....that was this kid!

Here are the steps I took....

    1, original
    2, add the boy
    3, add his body
4 change baby face, crop and done!

Of course it took a little more time than that!

You're awesome!!!!  I know mom usually buys an 8x10 as the largest, but what about going 16x20 with it for your studio, and then showing her how great it looks.  Maybe you could turn her into a 16x20 girl.  Ya never know!

That is a good idea.  I have done that once, I had a mom coming to pick up her announcements and I showed her the 16x20 that I had bought for the studio of her three children and she loved it and she bought it on the spot.

I have never gotten a 16x20 for my own home, but last year, a client got one and I was blown away by it!  They are the perfect size for any normal size living room, yet most people think big is 11x14.  I just got some studio space (detached garage) when we moved this summer, but I haven't done much with it.  My plans for the January slow time are to fix it all up and get stuff in there.  It is going to include lots of 16x20 and larger to show clients how much better their photos look BIG!   I can't wait to get it all done and have a true studio feel to it all!
