i have a nikkon lens that is broke(where it fits on the camera) there is a black lip that is broke off.

I have no idea what happened..WHere should i send it off to get it fixed.. or maybe it cant be fixed i am not sure..

anyone else sent a lens off??

Sounds like you cracked the mounting flange.  Go to http://www.KEH.com, look at their service dept. and consider sending it to them instead. They have parts available and offer excellent, warranteed, repairs for a lot less than Nikon USA, unless your lens is still under Nikon's warranty.
