Chevy Trailblazer owners....are you having trouble with your AC, too?

I absolutely LOVE my Chevy Trailblazer, but lately the AC hasn't been working right. It will work fine one day and then the next day it will blow cool air for a little while and then warm air. Some days it just blows warm air. Any other Trailblazer owners have this problem? Mine is a 2003 and thankfully, it is never in the shop other than regular maintenance.

Mine's a 2004. I had a similar problem last winter. It ended up being a replacement of the thermostat. With my luck it happened on the coldest winter day we had, sucks not having heat when it's 5 degrees out.

Yeah...it sucks not having AC in the summertime, too. Thankfully it's not been extremely hot here yet. Hoping to get this fixed before it's really hot!

Ouch...It looks like the AC is the first to go.

Before you take it in for a major estimate/repair, is there a way you can check the freon (freeon?) levels? I know every summer my husband has to refill his freon in his (old craptastic) cavalier. Might be worth a shot! (But I know nothing about cars...just an idea!)

My Chevy Tahoe 4x4 just went in the shop for an AC problem.  Turned out it was the last thing that anyone expected.  The board in the truck, where you turn the dials for temperature, etc.. was bad.  A $5 fix from the junk yard took care of the problem.  The mechanic had charged me $85 to look at it, fill my freon levels and then tell me that my compressor never kicked on but it's not leaking out anywhere and that he can get me a compressor.

Good thing my boyfriend is friends with him, and knows his way around cars very well... turns out the compressor was fine.. all we needed was that board.

Now, when it comes to suspension joints for the front end of a 4x4... watch out.. even with a best bud discount we were out $500.  Eeek.  LOL
