    Cross fingers for me please....UPDATED!!!!!!!!

See the child in the pic below? That's my 16yo, Shandi, and she's on the way to take her written test for her driver's license (she already passed the driving part in drivers ed)....can I have a massive finger crossing for her that she passes. If she doesn't she has to wait 14 more days to take it again and she won't be able to drive to her cosmotology classes in 2 weeks! (just adding the face to go with the name so you'd have a better idea who you're crossin' em for)

    Thanks!!!

Best of luck Shandi!  Just relax and take your time!

In my super sneaky ninja-spy ways, I was able to pass my driving test... I noticed that the tester person had a book on her desk that she was reluctant to leave to go give me my test.  so when we got in the car, I brought up the book (I had happened to have read it!) and we had a pleasant conversation about it during our drive.  I think that won me some brownie points, lol!

Fingers Crossed!  Bless your little pea pickin' heart, and hers.  Remembering when my first got her drivers licenses, and the mixed emotions that went with that.  Being sooo excited for her and then being scared to death.  Being so excited for ME (taxi slow down, YEA!) and so anxious at the same time.  Be susre to let us know!  Good Luck Shandi!

Oh, fingers crossed for sure! I actually think that my parents were secretly hoping that I failed my test! Wink

If it wasn't for the fact that she has to drive herself to cosmotology (it's offered at votech here, but the classes go later then all the other votech ones so cosmo kids have to drive themselves....20 miles one way ..... 5 days a week....gas over $4...sigh)....but anyway, other then that I'm not sure I'm ready for this!

Ohhhh Bing!  You little devil!  Very smart on your part!  I failed my first drivers road test.  For what else... Speeding!  He looked at me when I asked "did I pass?"  and said, "Are you crazy?  You were speeding with a cop in the car!"  Two days later I went back and got a sweet old cop that would clear his throat each time I got close to the speed limit.  I passed but got a kind warning about the lead foot.  But Shandi has passed that part so it is just the text test, she half way there.

Lol!  I failed the written test.  I didn't think it was necessary to study, and I was proven wrong.  I was mortified because my parents were real old school and didn't want me to get my license, but the state of Illinois required driver's ed in HS before you reached a certain age.  There was really no way for them to stop me from getting my permit.

Anyway, I didn't tell them I failed it because I knew what they would say, so my mom's friend made up an excuse for her to take me out one afternoon and she took me to the DMV so I could take the test again.  Thank God for her!

Karma, good luck!  I hope she passes!  I'm going to be going through this sooner than I'd like, but man is The Oldest going to have to get his own car 'cuz NOBODY drives the Charger, lol!

Awww!  Poor kid!  Just a tip....alcohol is alcohol no matter how they describe it, and just do what you think MOM would do!  On second thought, forget the 'what MOM would do', I got a feeling they would ban her and maybe come get your license, too!  LOL  That's what my hubby told our oldest, "forget how your mom drives, study the book!  Karma, don't take me seriously, just kidding!

Good luck to Shandi, Tricia!!  Actually the good luck is more for after she passes.  I was a nervous wreck the first time my kids left the first time.  My heart pounded soooo hard, I thought it was going to pound right out of my chest.  But, I made it through with all 3 of them.  I'm sure she'll do fine!
