Think Ahead - Envision the End Result

    Hi All

I know you all think ahead... thinking about what you can do with an image in the digital darkroom.

I do that all the time. Here is just one example.

When I took this snapshot of the Golden Gate Bridge last week, I envisioned the end-result in Apple's Aperture.

I used the Crop, Straighten, Levels, Black Point, and Contrast adjustments to create the image that I saw in my mind's eye when I took the picture.

Good fun, thinking ahead, that is.

    Best,

    Rick "Thinking Ahead" Sammon

Thank you so much for posting your before and after, Rick.  It really inspires to see pics like this from someone of your caliber.   (One reason why your Complete guide to Digital Photography 2.0 is sitting next to my computer.  lol)

    Thanks,
    Leigh
