    Christmas Backgrounds/Backdrops

Will anyone be willing to share what they have done in the past for a Christmas background. I thought about just doing a white background and having some Santa hats and stuff but I don’t want people to think that it will be too plain.

I know that it will look awsome expecially with templates on a 4x8 but just incase someone doesn't like the white what do you think?

I want to use the same background because I plan to do quick pics (30 minutes sessions) in two local towns. So I want something simple.  I plan on using blocks for people to sit on. The blocks will be wrapped like Christmas presents.  Does anybody have any ideas that will work perfect for Christmas quick takes? Thank you in advance! Mysti

We recently bought 2 paper backdrops. We are planning on cutting one of the tubes they came in and covering it to look like the North Pole. We just found an old sled. Not the kind with the metal runners, but the kind with the sides and back for little toddlers to be pulled around in. We will probably have some kind of "snow" then have the kids in the sled at the North Pole.

I've done the high key white drop with the tile board.... and done a regular family portrait.. then done one christmasy shot... cause i want them to purchase more than cards....

for the christmasy pose, I have on hand santa hats, elf hats.... huge chiristmas ornaments i got at costco... then i also have 2 strands of enormous christmas lights... i got them at target... they are huge and are super cute wraped around a family hugging....

I just started searching for Christmas ideas today actually.  My studio opened last year at the end of Nov beginning of December.  I did some Christmas shoots, but for the most part, I missed Christmas season.  I was considering using the same set up from last year since I didn't do a whole lot of pictures from it in '07.

I had a canvas background that looked like the inside wall of a house with a snow scene out the window.  It came to the floor and then I put down the sticky vinyl hardwood floor looking tiles.  I covered most of it with a cream colored rug and set up a decorated Christmas tree with presents underneath.  I also had a big basket full of poinsettas for the opposite side of the tree.

I'll see if I can find a picture and post it...

This is a myspace version of their Christmas card.  This is before I added the poinsettas.  Normally they would have been on the far left...maybe behind mom's feet.

(newspaper ad) I also used some christmas props on my white bg
