    Messed Up Photo Worth Keeping?

Does this look like an intentionally blurred action shot?   While its not what I was trying to do, I'm wondering if it is still worth keeping.

I prefer my surfer shots to be sharp, freeze-motion kind of photos.  Hopping from rock to rock while going out on a jetty last Friday evening was good for getting into favorable position to the side and rear of surfers, but was not good for remembering to increase the shutter speed.  Consequently, most of my shots that night were blurry and, at least to me, not keepers.

Basicially, if this looks to those with more artistic tastes than me (I'm an accountant, for heaven's sake!) like a decent implied-movement photo I'll keep it.  If not, I'm afraid its to the recycle bin with most of the other Friday shots.

Great compostiion, unfortunately - the blurred facial features make the shot look like an out of focus image.  I'm sorry.

Possibly doing something artsy like in the last post or cropping out the upper body and featuring the board, water and feet with some color pop - well, it might be worth saving or playing with.

Thank you for the answers, they confirm my initial thoughts about the photo.  I'm afraid he's off to the recycle bin, where most of his other friends already are.

I returned to the jetty today, this time being sure to increase the shutter speed to 1/500.  The waves were larger today, and I did get a few with good potential.  Unhappily, most surfers tonight broke away from me instead of towards me, so the keepers are again few in number.

I think you have potential here. I would pull back the highlights, they seem to distract from the surfer, but I love it!
It is typical for me to respond to initial posts before "reading" on...this way my initial thoughts aren't skewed by others'...but after that...rest assured, I have read them all!
