I am just starting out with pictures and have booked 3 kids for senior pictures. This started because last year I took my brother and sisters senior pictures and these kids saw them and their parents liked the pictures. The question I have, is I would like to be able to offer what most photographers...

  • Proof Albums and Stamping Proofs

Hello. Just curious where a good place to purchase a proof album would be. Also do you stamp the back of your proof photos? If so with what kind of stamp, and where are they available. Is putting a sticker on the back instead of stamping considered tacky? Thanks Tanya

  • Re: Anyone use blurb to make books?

I used them before with mixed feelings. The price is great. These books are ok for "small budget" weddings and proof books. I would recommend using the hardcover option. It seems that the printing is a little better. You can hide the book or make it private so nobody but you can see it! I had...

  • Re: blurb, asuka and picaboo

I ordered Asuka's elite 10x10 book last week and I'm supposed to have it back by April. They say a 4 week turn around. I spent about 20 hours all told creating a 40 side 20 page book along with the jacket cover. You really have to be into photoshop to use it though since the reference everything...

  • Re: PS block and parents album...

I'm not sure how it turned out.. My parents albums use just 4x6s so I'm not sure in what sense you are trying to get creative. I mean croping? or softening a look or a soft glow is nice. How about the shots themselves, are they kissing? holding hands? I tell the story sequentially so that takes...

  • Re: Pricing pictures.

You need to at LEAST be making double on what your costs are for your photos! Are you wanting to find an album company that designs albums for you, or what? http://www.albumsinc.com is a good place to buy professional albums. There are a ton of album companies out there! Here is a link that might help...
