Nikster: OMG All the technical explanations totally make sense now!! thank you so much!! Lol I always had problems processing information without visuals. up till now I always sort of knew which lens "felt" good for my compositions but now it all makes logical sense! Yay no more blank stares...

  • Re: Camera Settings

venusj13: Tom, I have the XTi. What mode (P, TV, AV, M) do you shoot in? Also what settings do you use to blur the background for outside portraits? Lol- I really am a beginner. • Re: Quick tip for sports shots?

Karol, I know you want a simpler, and faster, answer than this, but it really is the correct answer... Books Recommended By Mpix Users Some of the questions you are asking are "it depends" questions. ISO depends. I assume you are outdoors for baseball so I'd try to shoot at ISO 100 unless...

  • Re: Setting Shutter Speed and Aperture

Amy, This thread might get you pointed in the right direction... http://forums.mpix.com/post/271907.aspx The first book in that thread is VERY helpful in answering those sorts of questions. The lowest aperture you can get will depend on the lens you have on your camera. Your shutter speeds range from...
