  • online ordering, customers having problems....

I'm thinking about switching online ordering systems. Had a couple of customers who didn't use the computer much and spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday, talking them thru the on line ordering experience with my current company. I ended up ordering the prints for one customer myself, but...

  • Re: I need a website! Can you recommend a designer?

For a custom site that is unique & professional I would try Blue Monkey Media . www.bmmi.us Prices vary of course....but I have seen too many sites that you can tell were done by designers with little experience! Good luck

  • Re: Tip for RAW shooters... Adobe Light Room...

Clarification on last... No ACR used The gallery was corrected as needed, wholly in LR and put up online in a gallery created in LR. It never saw bridge or PS and the original raw files haven't been modified at all. I have made level and curve changes along with vigenetting and saturation changes...

  • Re: PS block and parents album...

I'm not sure how it turned out.. My parents albums use just 4x6s so I'm not sure in what sense you are trying to get creative. I mean croping? or softening a look or a soft glow is nice. How about the shots themselves, are they kissing? holding hands? I tell the story sequentially so that takes...

  • locations for engagment shoot in the Boston/New England area

I've been asked to find a good location by my bridal client for their engagement pictures. I've lived here (Salem) area for three years but I'm drawing a blank. It seems they don't have any places that bring strong memories for them or they want to see how creative I'll be. I'm...

  • Re: Ordering folios...

Check out Rice Studio Supply at www.ricestudiosupply.com . Their web site sucks, but if you give them a call their customer service is great. They can usually tell you over the phone whether they have something that works for you. Good luck! - Andrew

  • Re: Do any of you offer a CD of all images??

I'm new at this and I've scoured the Boston area for what other photographers advertise on their websites. Almost all include a CD of the shots in their prices. I've only shot 3 weddings this last year so I'm only charging $500/650 for 5 or 8 hours. (Yes, I know bargin basement) but until...
