  • Can I Apply a brush as a step within an action using CS3

I'm trying to find a way to incorporate a brush into my action without actually having to stop and using the brush and then continue. More specifically, I would like to apply the history brush to the entire image as a step within an action, but I want it to automatically be applied without me having...

  • Snapshot to Cool Shot

Hey All Here are just a few ideas to turn a boring snapshot (left) into a more creative image. Tilt the camera down to the left or right for a cool looking image. In Photoshop or Elements, use the Blur Tool (Zoom) on a Layer to selectively blur part of the image, as I did here - blurring the boy's...

  • Re: Should I upgrade?

I have no idea how you got that price. If you look at Academic Super Store, Journey Ed etc, who sell to students and teachers, Photoshop CS 3 is over $400, I did find CS2 the upgrade version over the weekend for $149. Photoshop Elements is worth the money if you want to put the final touches on photos...

  • Beginner looking for some advice. =)

Hello. I am new to the MPIX forum and am looking for some advice and constructive criticism. I am fairly new to digital SLR and Photoshop CS2. I posted a picture from the 3rd wedding I have done, but only second digital wedding. This is an untouched photo. I have played around with my color balance saturation...

  • CD Burning Information?

Okay so I asked a question a few days ago about resizing a photo on CS2. After I got all that straightened out, it came to my attention that all the photos on the CD that I am giving a client now have to be resized. Is there any way around resizing them and adding a border, or should I just burn them...

  • Resizing Images?

I am new to this so bare with me please. So I am struggling with resizing my images. I shot a wedding recently with my Nikon D70, imported my photos, and the whole nine yards. I am finished with retouches, etc. My problem, however, is printing the photos at 8x10 size. Every time I go on to Mpix.com to...

  • Re: Photoshop Elements Question - Can You Do This?

Let's say I am painting a mask and want to get to the details, I roll the scroll wheel (with the cursor over the area I want to zoom) and paint a little on the mask, then I roll the scroll wheel the other way and back out a little. Then I move the mouse a little and position the cursor over the next...

  • Re: Best editing software

PhotoBlast: Photoshop is THE standard for editing (and I fully expect some people will take exception with that statement). Hmm, I won't take exception with the statement. It is true. BUT, if you are just wanting to fix up pictures, then Elements can do a lot. If you decide you would like to upgrade...
