  • Posing help for a brother that is 13 years older...

    I have an outdoor photoshoot in about a week. My problem is that the brother is 26 and the sister is 13. I'm trying to think of some poses that don't look fatherly. Any help would be great. Thanks.

  • Family Group Photo outside in the snow

    I'm looking for any tips on shooting a group of 6 adults and 4 small children outside in the snow. The background the family wants is mostly woods. There is supposed to be quite a bit of snow. I'm planning on using a ladder -if possible because of the number of people. My concern is losing highlights...

  • Portraits in the snow?

    I'm an avid amateur photographer who's been asked by a coworker to take her kids' portraits, after having seen some that I did of my own. I have no special training or equipment (I shoot with a Nikon D70 with an 18-55mm and/or 85mm lens) so I'm a little nervous about her expectations...

  • shooting families - people in focus while keeping the bknd blur...

    So I am now shooting with an L Lense EF24-70mm 2.8 on my Canon 20D which I love. I have a contemporary/modern/artistic style and like to shoot wide open at 2.8/3.2. Previously I could only shoot at 5.6 and that just wasn't all that great. Mostly I shoot ONE person at a time. A baby, a senior, a model...
