  • Re: Can someone help with making Proof CD that clients can't copy?

Here is what I would do. I proof online, but this is how I prepare the photos to upload to my site. I have CS3, but hopefully the process is similar. First open up all of your images in Bridge, select all and save them as Jpegs to a folder. You can rename there here also. Now go that folder in Bridge...

When taking portrait photos of newborns against a black or white background (fabric), when editing the digital pictures, how can I easily make the background look solid where you don't see color variations & wrinkles in the fabrics? I want it to look like they're floating in a way! I'm...

  • Basic website/proofing question

Lets start by saying I dont know anything about websites. So please take it easy on me. I am looking to put a nice website and on line proofing. I use lightroom so I would like to be able to add my own proofing. Is there a place I can go to do all of this, and not pay a fortune? Is this possible?

  • Proofing on a Pocket PC or PDA?

I could swear I read something about that here, but can't find the thread. Does anyone here use a pocket pc or pda for proofing to customers and/or immediate back up of digital files? I'm researching some options, and thought I'd explore this direction. Thanks!

  • online proofing

HI, I have read many posts regarding online proofing. Does anyone have a suggestion that fits this criteria? 1. I don't have my own website. 2. I would like it to be password protected so I can control who see what proofs. 3. I don't care about online ordering. I prefer to do the orders myself...

  • Re: Tip for RAW shooters... Adobe Light Room...

I'm downloading it now and will look at it in a while. Have you tried incorporating Lightroom in your workflow yet? It's still in beta but I'm learning to see it has it's benefits. It's all in the workflow.... Here is a link to a web gallery that I built in LR. http://www.vistaphotos...

  • Re: Portfolio Building Workshop!

Well for those of us not in that area (I'm up in New England). Maybe we can use the photo critique forum to post links to galleries of wedding/portrait shoots and everyone can chime in with "constructive critisisim". I've only shot a few weddings and have several more secheduled so...

  • Photography website.

Hey I need to make a decision on a website here within the next few days. I thought about doing my own, because I've built quite a few websites from scratch, but I decided I just wanted to pay for one, and save time. I was all set to sign up for the Pro package at Smugmug, and then I saw a friend's...

  • Re: GoDaddy help... please!

plum: do I have to purchase something else to get the webpage up and going?? I'm a big fan of open source so I would recommend checking out what is freely available before spending money. :-) This thread inspired me to actually start on my photography web site tonight. I installed a copy of Phormer...
